Mission Statement
Mission Statement

The mission of my practice is to provide a safe, inviting space for children and families to build important emotional coping and communication skills. I utilize a strength-based treatment approach that is individually tailored to each client's particular needs. I am committed to helping children experience competence, happiness, and positive social connections in all their key environments.
About Me
About Me

I’m a licensed psychologist specializing in child, school, and clinical psychology, with over two decades of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families. I earned my doctorate in 2002 from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University in New York, and completed my pre-doctoral training at The Astor Home for Children in Rhinebeck, where I deepened my expertise in play therapy and family systems work.
My early clinical training included work in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric settings, as well as school-based environments—experiences that shaped my holistic approach to child development and mental health. After becoming licensed in 2004, I spent three years as a school psychologist in Massachusetts, where I conducted evaluations for children with special needs and collaborated closely with educators to design individualized educational plans.
In 2007, my family relocated to Northeast Pennsylvania, and I returned to clinical practice. In 2012, I opened my private practice in the Wyoming Valley, where I’ve had the privilege of working with children and families across the region. I offer individual therapy for children and adolescents, family therapy, and play therapy for younger clients. I also provide comprehensive psychological testing to support diagnostic clarity and treatment planning.
My clinical experience spans a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, oppositional behaviors, autism spectrum disorders, learning and developmental challenges, and family or school adjustment issues. I’m committed to fostering resilience, insight, and meaningful growth in the children and families I serve—and to collaborating with professionals across disciplines to ensure thoughtful, integrated care.
Professional Affiliations
I am proud to be a member of the following organizations, which reflect my commitment to professional excellence and ongoing development in the field of psychology:
-
American Psychological Association (APA)
-
Pennsylvania Psychological Association (PPA)
-
Diplomate Member, National Center for Crisis Management
-
National Register of Health Service Psychologists
These affiliations support my dedication to ethical practice, evidence-based care, and collaboration within the broader mental health community.
Practice Availability
As a solo practitioner, I prioritize providing thoughtful, individualized care to each child and family I work with. Given the growing demand for pediatric mental health services—and the limited number of specialists in our region—availability for new clients is often limited.
If you're seeking support for your child, I encourage you to reach out. If I’m unable to accommodate your needs directly, I will do my best to offer a trusted referral to another qualified provider.
